Richard D. Bailey is known across the United States and internationally for his work in stewardship and major gift development.  Formerly the Executive Director of the United Methodist Foundations of the Washington D.C. Area, and later the Executive Director of the Western North Carolina United Methodist Foundation. 

Former President of the National Association of United Methodist Foundations. 

He authored "Estate Planning, A Workbook for Christians" which was published by Abingdon Press.
