Composer Presentation and Follow-up System for Financial Professionals

Q       What is the Composer Presentation System?

A       Composer is a visual interactive presentation system for all financial professionals. It is a precursor to a computer generated plan. The Composer system is comprised of 48 planning tiles to engage the client in the planning process of both simple and complex aspect of estate and financial plans. Each tile has a title and a brief description of the subject; the center space is for recording information during the presentation discussion using a dry-erase marker.  Composer tiles are arranged by color and subject in a tabbed section. Also included in the Composer set are:  a dry-erase marker, wipe cloth, and DVD. The DVD contains a video Introduction and Demo, and the Composer files, Grids and Click n' Presents.

Q       Which financial professionals would use Composer?

A       Composer has been tested and used by professionals who present financial and estate plans to their clients. These include: attorneys, bank and trust officers, CLUs and life insurance professionals, gift planners and development officers, CFPs and financial planners, and stock brokers and investment specials.

Q       What is unique about the composer system?

A       Composer is visual, which is the way most people process information. People process color and shapes    before that process text. Color prompts memory and enables the client to visualize and process the plan, and to recall the planning concepts. Colors help store and recall information. Shapes allow progressive development of financial concepts and plans.

Q       How does Composer engage the client in the planning process?

A       Composer interactive approach helps to involve and engage the client in the presentation and consideration of the available planning options. It enables the client to see directly how options affect individual, family, business, and future. And it helps the client to prioritize faster, make        educated decisions, and approved further action. It builds client confidence and acceptance. The client accepts ownership of the plan more readily.

Q       How does Composer help the financial professional?

A       Composer will help professionals be more focused on the client's goals and objectives.   It accelerates the learning curve and increases the retention of concepts.  This enables the client to make better and faster decisions regarding their goals, and this leads to more sales or gift results.

Q       How is Composer used for a presentation?

A       The professional uses the Composer tiles to present a financial or estate planning concept or plan, to a client. Instead of a verbally presentation, or sketching it on paper, the tiles are used to present the plan and engage the client in a discussion. The tiles may be used alone, in groups, or arranged in a sequence to develop the presentation. Titles may be placed in any direction that fits comfortably with the professional's style: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. The dry erase marker may be used during the discussion to record permanent information on a tile. Later the presentation may be recorded on a Composer Grid.

Q       How does the professional plan a Composer presentation?

A       Tiles expected to be used may be assembled behind the Presentation Tab and ready for use. The Composer case lid may be used for the selected tiles, dry-erase marker, and wipe cloth during the presentation. If additional tile are needed during the presentation they may be retrieved from the Composer set.

Q       What are the Composer Grids and how are they used?

A       Composer Grids are portrait or landscape template used to plan or record a presentation. They are helpful to determine the presentation layout and to document the presentation for later follow-up, and a record for Corporate Compliance. The grids are on the Composer DVD root directory, and may be easily personalized.

Q       What is Composer Click n' Present?

A       Composer Click n' Present is a MS Word Template that allows the professional to replicate and personalize the interactive presentation session. Click n' Present and Instructions are file in the Composer DVD directory. The professional will simply "click and drag" and personalize the tiles         used in the presentation. This may be dropped into the text of a letter or a printed follow-up form.

Q       Does Composer meet Corporate Compliance standards?

A       Composer is like a blank page which the professional use to design and make a presentation. There are no corporate compliance issues. The use of Composer Grids and Click n' Present provides a paper trail and the documentation needed to meet compliance standards.
